Kindergarten

Our kindergarten class provides opportunities for students to strengthen all areas of development in a non-hurried, loving and nurturing environment. The academics are more strongly emphasized through activities in language arts, math, science, and social studies, with special focus on behavioral and social skills.

 

Every effort is made to provide a balanced curriculum for the kindergarten with a strong emphasis on phonics and math. The most current resources in curriculum and ongoing training is beneficial in selecting sources that provide experiences and exposure for all learning styles.

 

The kindergarten provides a healthy balanced curriculum consisting of a new SRA reading program titled “Imagine It”, whole language, phonics, science, math, journals, handwriting, chapel and music. There is also 20 minutes of daily playground fun in addition to a Lunch Bunch offered until 2:00 Monday through Friday.
