Hello parents,
As you know the governor has indicated that the schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year. Faith Preschool & Kindergarten will follow their direction and we will also remain closed. Our summer camp that was originally scheduled for June 1st-12th will possibly be canceled or postponed to late July. We will let you know as soon as a final decision is made about summer camp and VBS.
There is no tuition payment due in May for this school year. Sandy will readjust your account to reflect the credit if you already made the payment.
In the meantime, our wonderful staff and teachers will continue to send home curriculum ideas and activities for you to experience with your child. The teachers will begin working on the progress reports that we normally send home at the end of the school year. You will hear soon from your child’s teacher on how she wants to distribute your child’s belongings and things that are in the cubbies.
I am working in the office every Wednesday if you need anything, but you’re always welcome to call me at home to chat or email me with any concerns or questions.
I have enjoyed receiving the photos, videos and comments from the children and parents. And I love sharing zoom chats with the classes. We are planning a zoom chat for our parents & staff to visit together on this Thursday afternoon at 3:00. I hope you’ll join us if you can. Look for the link soon.
In this time of social distancing, I have been catching up on some reading and coursework at home. I recently read and listened to a podcast written by Julianne Clayton. Julianne is a good friend of mine & and she is Pastor Brad’s wife. Julianne has such an incredible gift as a writer who can connect her thoughts with God’s presence in a way that can be applied to scripture in our daily living. In this uncertain time, I found her inspiring words to be incredibly comforting & encouraging. Please click this link if you’d like to listen to her uplifting message.
It is really hard to believe we are ending this school year in this way. If at all possible, we will plan a social get together in July for all of us to catch up, play and visit with the children at preschool. Until then, I am thankful that we will continue to stay in touch and connected with our Faith Preschool family and friends. We miss you all very much.
