In the three year old class the children are now learning to play and interact in small groups with lots of hands on activities to experience. The specific learning centers offer a balance of structure and lots of time to play, which makes this class a well rounded class.
The primary goal for the three year old program is to provide a loving and secure atmosphere where a child can develop self-confidence and a healthy self-esteem, yet expand on skills that make way for reading readiness and fine motor coordination experiences. Activities are provided that challenge the children without pressuring them, to grow in cognitive development according to his/her own individual abilities.
Simple unit facts, colors, shapes, numbers, and letter recognition of the child’s name is emphasized using a theme/unit approach throughout the classroom.
